How we install tile that lasts

We start with a full look at the subfloor. Any flex, moisture, or unevenness gets fixed before tile is set, which matters on older Knoxville homes with wood floor systems over crawlspaces. We choose mortars to suit tile size, check coverage, and use leveling methods to keep edges flush.

Showers are built with a proper waterproofing system and slope. Every job ends with sealed grout and a final walk-through with you.

Tile Flooring - frequently asked questions

A typical room takes a few days between demo, setting, and grouting, and showers or large-format layouts can take longer. You will get a schedule before we begin.

Over wood subfloors and in wet areas, it is often a good idea because it guards against cracking from movement. We explain the reasoning when we measure.

Sometimes, if the old tile is solid, flat, and the added height will not cause trouble with doors. Otherwise we remove it. Our floor demolition and prep service handles the tear-out.

Cement grout can stain if left unsealed, so we seal it. For showers and busy kitchens we can discuss stain-resistant upgrades. If you prefer a no-grout look, see vinyl floor tiles.
