Flooring in Oak Ridge, TN

Oak Ridge has a housing story unlike anywhere else in Anderson County. The city was built quickly during the Manhattan Project, and many of its first homes, the so-called Alphabet houses, were simple, efficient designs that have been remodeled, expanded and loved by generations of families since. Floors in these homes can hold surprises: original wood under layers of carpet, patched sections where walls moved, and subfloors that deserve a careful look before anything new goes on top.

Other parts of town look nothing like that. Newer neighborhoods and larger lots out toward the edges of the city have open layouts, bigger kitchens and finished lower levels, where durable, moisture-tolerant floors earn their keep. Many Oak Ridge households also include researchers, engineers and families who relocated for work, and they tend to ask pointed questions about materials. We like that. We answer them with samples, specs and honest pricing.

Our shop-at-home service means we come to you with curated options, measure carefully, and put the full installed price in writing before we leave. The same in-house crew then does the work, with no subcontractors. If you would rather browse first, our Knoxville showroom at 6134 Industrial Heights Dr NW is a short drive down the interstate, and financing through Wisetack and Hearth is available on approved credit.
