A new floor is only as good as what lies beneath it. Volunteer Flooring & Design covers everything before installation: tear-out, haul-away, dust control, moisture checks, and leveling. Doing it all with one in-house crew keeps the schedule tight and the handoff clean.

We work with tile, nailed hardwood, floating floors, sheet vinyl, and glued carpet. Once the prep is complete, we move straight into installation without bringing in another contractor.

Why dust control matters

Old adhesives and underlayments can kick up fine dust, and homes built decades ago may contain materials that call for care. Think of the older ranch homes and mid-century houses around Oak Ridge or Fountain City. We contain the work area and clean up as we go so your living space stays livable.

Leveling is the step too many skip

A subfloor out of level will cause plank joints to fail and tile to crack. We level to the tolerance the flooring manufacturer requires and fix soft spots first. For crawlspace homes, we also look at what is happening underneath. If damage turns up, our floor repair team can step in.

Yes, disposal is part of our demo scope, so you will not be left with a pile at the curb.

We contain the work area and use dust-control tools, which keeps adjoining rooms far cleaner than a typical tear-out.

We check at the estimate. If your subfloor is within the manufacturer's tolerance, you do not. If it is not, we quote leveling separately so you see the cost.
