Solid hardwood is the classic choice for above-grade rooms with a wood subfloor. Engineered hardwood has a layered core that moves less with humidity, which makes it the safer pick over slabs and in homes with finished basements.
Our team will look at the subfloor, check moisture, and tell you plainly which construction fits each room. We would rather steer you to engineered than sell a solid floor that gaps in January.
